Welcome Week at King’s

A flagship project welcoming over 6,000 students in a single day, surpassing the previous two-day total. Held at Old Billingsgate, London — a huge five-floor venue — the event introduced students to KCLSU’s spaces, services, and student groups. Working alongside our brand designer, I helped roll out KCLSU’s refreshed visual identity for the first time at scale, creating bold signage, merch, tote bags, giveaways, and venue branding.

A key challenge was designing a clear, accessible wayfinding system. To keep crowds moving safely, we introduced a two-route system around the venue, and I produced two bespoke maps with detailed route explanations, helping students easily navigate bars, cafés, clubs, wellbeing zones, and more.

An amazing, high-energy project — and incredible to see thousands engaging with our designs in action.
